Praise for Pasco County Utilities Crew By Jenny Leigh Hodgins

Temporary fix to a water leak in my front garden.

I now joyfully sing the praises of Pasco County Utilities. Especially since I’d had a disappointing experience last year when my water bill spiked four times more than my regular bill two months in a row for no apparent reason, and I had to fight a battle to get anything addressed and refunded (months later!), I was gratefully surprised to have such a positive experience with the same company recently.

Water Leak Temporary fix

My neighbor discovered water gushing from my front yard, so I reported it to Pasco County Utilities. Several workers came out to repair a ‘pinhole-size’ leak in my copper piping near the water meter, but due to a kink in the very old piping, they were unable to put a valve on it as planned. The next two days, six or seven men came to my front yard to replace the copper pipes, which were leaking water like a river down the street.

As an avid gardener, I was unsettled to see the huge tunnel dug out underneath the front corner of my garden, and several of my plants destroyed in the process. However, these workers were amazingly careful, swift and did their best to preserve my gardens. After repairing all the underground pipes with new material, refilling the tunnel with fresh soil, the restoration crew informed me that they would clean up my landscaping to my satisfaction.

I am relieved and astounded by the quality results of this crew’s work. They replenished my garden with eight new plants and a marble chip pathway, leaving that corner of my garden looking better than it had before the water leak!

I want to sincerely thank these capable, hard-working and friendly Pasco County Utilities employees for a wonderful job at repairing the leak, cleaning up and beautifying my garden so quickly. I now have an extremely favorable impression of Pasco County Utilities. I hope the company will find some way to reward such admirable employees for a job done far beyond well! Thanks to: Carlos and Jacques (sorry I didn’t get last names), Jamie Sanchez, Ernie Peluso (restoration supervisor), Luis Levi, Tom Bucaro and the rest of that great crew!
